Seaweed Gets New Names: It’s Easier Than Ever to Find Your Favourite

Dansk Tang’s three seaweed granulates are changing names. We’ve chosen to do this to make them more product-oriented while removing the local references from the product names, making them easier to sell across all of Denmark.
Rørvigmix becomes Umamimix
From the name alone — Umamimix — you can tell how the product can be used. It is particularly well suited for soups and sauces but can also be used as a crispy element when fried, a bit like crispy onions.
Kattegatmix becomes Vikingemix
The Viking diet consisted largely of unprocessed ingredients such as whole grains and vegetables, which together provided a high level of dietary fiber. That is exactly what Vikingemix offers — nearly half of the bag’s content is dietary fiber.
Isefjordsmix becomes Havmix
The name change reflects the product’s broader origin and content, while the quality and composition remain unchanged. Havmix contains the same selection of seaweed species and the same nutritional properties as before — simply with a name that describes it more accurately.
The transition will happen gradually as the bags with the old names are used up.
